Somebodies making something.
I have used the same mounting "U" type bracket for mine too. Seem to be more than strong enough. The RHS will give it a slimline look too. |

hey that looks good, you will want to brace the "U" mounts, they will bend very quickly with a jimny weight on them... |

Good work so far Ossie but I think they'll need a bit of beefing up. The outriggers appear to be 300-400mm long. This gives a lot of leverage when only 25mm tall where welded to the chassis clamps. I'd add a few triangular gussets to increase the load spread. SEE the triangles in pic below. I'd also extend the chassis plate to at least the top of the chassis rail to stop the chassis being dented by the thicker plate.. SEE circle in pic below.

Sliders look neat, but I'm not sure they are heavy duty enough Can you lift the car up using the sliders as a jacking point? If the sliders deflect more than 5mm, I'd say they are too weak. But I guess that depends on what you intend to do with them really. Pete |

There my first temp at doing them ...might make the same but use a heavy steel down the track but they will do for now ..i'm not going too be doing extreme cliff jumping with them ..lol Did the jack test they where fine in the middle, jack the car right off the ground but the ends need reinforcing some more steel is need and a few more angle peaces should do the trick. |
