well I didn't make the bar itself. picked it up last night whilst at a bonfire for a carton of pilsner, (he actually wanted xxx but I wasn't gunna be seen leaving the bottle shop with that under my arm) it was just sitting there on his scrap pile ready for the recyclers. he said it was off a 4 runner or hilux |

If you cut the piece off the bottom of the grille you can lift the bar 30mm |

chop the bottom of the grill off and lift it up to the body line, then it will give better clearance and line up with the lights |

Needs more angle grinder. Points for multiple milk crates though, and in different colours gives extra credit. Great post would read again AAAAA+++++ |

so I removed the black strip under the grill and moved the bar up about an inch and a half. now all brackets are tacked in place. so in the next week or so. I will reinforce them. and have it all fitted. not entirely sure about the uprights interfering with the inside of the lights tho. not bad for under 60$ cheers Steve |

Great post would read again AAAAA+++++ i think auszookers needs a official milk crate ranking just so everyone knows the criteria for max points and the bar looks like it is going well i was going to do the same thing but i got a suzuki one and sold the lux one |

would still look good with the uprights chopped off.. chuck a winch and spotties on it with no top bars and it would look really tough, it sticks out enough that i doubt anything would go near the body where the bars are anyways |

That shit is really heavy duty aint it? Can you get different colours? Would this paint be any good for a fuel tank guard? |

Would this paint be any good for a fuel tank guard? Yes it is really heavy duty, but it does tend to chip as it's very hard. IMHO any paint used on a fuel tank guard is going to last minutes so it's irrelevant. Steve. |

Well the only reason I am installing one is in the case of a freak accident.. It will very rarely ever get hit on purpose. I am just preparing myself because my brother had a log rip his entire tank to shreds when we were going through some grass on the last trip.. He had to run his fuel straight out of a jerry through his window.. |
