Hey Everyone. I managed to get a 2000 Baleno for an engine swap, and the seats were in much better condition than the Sierra seats. Inspired by TASSIETOYUKI's post https://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=56981, here's how I fit them to the Coily brackets. I've had to machine some spacers, and get some extra bolts, but it's not difficult to do if you know someone with a lathe. First, remove clips holding cover on the back rest. Attachment: 1clips.jpg Remove two bolts from seat back. Attachment: 2twobolts.jpg And the phillips screw/bolt from the other side. Attachment: phillipsbolt.jpg Put seat back in a safe place for now. Do the same for the coily seats. Remove the four bolts that hold the seat base to the brackets Attachment: 4coilybase1.jpg Attachment: 5coilybase2.jpg Remove trim from seat base by unclipping four sides Attachment: 6coilybasetrim.jpg remove the seat base Attachment: 7coilybase.jpg Do the same with the Baleno seat base, then put it on the Coilys metal base and clip the edges back on Attachment: 8balenocoilybase.jpg Put the rail brackets back on the base Attachment: 9balenocoilybase.jpg These are the spacers I turned, the two bottom ones are 20mm long, about 22mm OD, and 10mm ID. The the top one Attachment: 92Lathe.jpg Next remove the two bolts that hold the back rest adjuster on Attachment: b1adj.jpg Then use the two new spacers with a M10 x 1.25mm x 90mm (60 or 70 should be ok, bolt shop only had 90mm) bolt, use the longer one you took out for the front bolt. Attachment: b2spacers.jpg It's hard to see here, but use a new M6 x 35mm bolt to hold the pivoting side of the seat back in place, with the spacer. The nub on the end of the spacer goes into the rail bracket Attachment: b3spacer.jpg Attachment: b4spacer.jpg On the other side, measure down 20mm from existing holes to drill new holes Attachment: b5newholes.jpg Drill new holes to accept the M10 bolts Attachment: b6newholes.jpg Bolt the seat back on. Pull the cover down. There is probably a reason trimmers don't use cable ties, but I don't know what the reason is yet, pull the ties tight Attachment: b7ties.jpg Enjoy your new seats Attachment: b8finished.jpg This was done a few days ago, so I hope I haven't forgotten any steps. Because the seats are wider, the plastic trims don't fit as good as they did, but I'm not too worried about that, otherwise they work the same as the originals.
