Still collecting bits but I thought I would start a thread in case someone knows stuff about them.

I bought some plans from seppo land but don't have access to some of the bits and tools needed so will just wing it and see how it goes.

Bought a 6.5hp chonda from eBay and britvit the legend took time out from building his ridiculous vitara and found me a blower
Hopefully the rest of the bits are easy enough to find.

The chonda has a shit air filter and housing but I just robbed the air filter assembly from my Honda sluice pump.
The sluice pump doesn't need a good filter so should be ok.

Going to belt drive this

With the one on the right

Which despite the funny stickers starts first pull

Hopefully I will end up with something like this that will have the capacity to be loaded with a small excavator

The blower bit has been strapped to a newer pallet and is in the back of a proper car, hopefully it will be getting dropped at the couriers tomorrow.....

Are you panning from tailings in an old mining spot or is this fresh alluvial?

Think I still have a rusty old pan lying about somewhere. I did a bit of panning in NZ as a kid and it seemed any shovel load from any river would turn up a few specks, but all areas that had a rush through 100 years earlier. I just hated the freezing cold hands.

Mostly flood gold but most of the NT hasn't been explored for gold so whenever I am traveling I pan in creeks that look promising.

Doing a 2 week fossicking trip next month in the tanami that should be pretty good. Going to try for gems as well.
