Found this the might interest a few people that are looking in to changing ECU for forced induction etc

1) ECU patch lead. Link below is for a lead that depending on plugs used matches Vitara EFI ECUs ( both 2 and 3 plug). Ie if you have the 2 yellow plug ecu like myself you use plug 1 and 4.

2) ECU reader tool that works on pre OBD2 ECUs

No Problem.

Yes I have a purchased a rhynopower scan tool set up.

Its used to obtain data from the factory ECU so you know how your piggyback is effecting the system and that your changes are in balance (i.e. remove volts from 02 signal and Add fuel to injector pulse) are balanced so the stock ecu see nothing.

this allows you to see fuel trends, temps, rap speed, MAF timing etc basically everything the ECU receives from sensors and sends to control things

IT also shows stored codes, current codes, can text ICV. cel and fuel ECU resets.

No i did not purchase, i cut into my factory loom already to install my piggyback, (I found this after installing mine :( )

The advantage of this if if you are either going for a piggyback or standalone ECU you do not have to butcher your factory wiring loom. You just use the connections and wires needed and make a adapter/ patch lead

Stand alone - plugs that match the factory ecu 1 end and halted/ motel / etc on the other.
Piggyback - just plug in-between factory look and ECU so when tapping and intercepting the signal ware you only but into this patch lead.

Advantage is that if you have to go back to stock you have not modified your factory loom.
