[atari4x4]

The Vitara idler arm is a known weak point when running bigger tyres, after checking out a few different designs I came up with this set up. The front of the 2.0l vitara's are slightly different the the 1.6's.

I have been running this set up for a few years now & it's still going strong, thanks Polar_Bear for the steel & the welding.

If buying an idler arm brace off the internet, check if it suits right hand drive or not.
I bought an upgraded idler arm/mount from Sky Manufacturing.
That is another option.

yeah, the idler arm bracket is weak as piss & is in single shear... can be put under a lot of stress especially if the front end is locked, leaving you with wheels pointing at each other.

i bought one from low range over a yr ago because i was going a bigish order and thought "why not", got it fitted a few months back and its a lot nicer to drive with (smoother steering) and just another thing that wont break on the trail. well worth it.

firstly your looking at American sites. being that they drive on the other side of the road to us they probably wont fit

My Sky idler arm is still going strong.
Steering smoothed up and got more precise when fitted.
Has stayed that way.

Put a stock idler arm from each model together and take a look. I have no idea if they are the same, but they should be.

"atari4X4", do the Steering-Idler-Arm-Assemblies in your 2.0 Liter SV420 and SV620 Vitaras look like the one in the picture above??

Mate, there is a good chance that it will fit, and a small chance it wont. If u buy it and it doesnt fit, sent it back or sell it locally.

RJ6 - I just checked the Suzuki EPC - there was one idler arm part number used on ALL the SE & SV series Vitaras, regardless of engine size or steering wheel position.
