Hey all i have a 89 wt and was after front seats for it for a while and did the usual route of looking for things much researching was done on here on the forum but nothing I was happy with both price and availability wise as well. Working for a wreckers has its perks and was able to trial fit a few seats in the car physically which made life easier. After much trial and error I managed to find that 2006 Suburu Forester seats will just and I mean just fit in the front.

The rails just fit in next to the centre of the car and just need to bend the front supports on the passenger side and they bolt directly to the floor with a nut and bolt nice and easy the rear brackets were just as easy the left rear mount is already set up to be bolted directly through the floor and the right hand side rear bracket needed to be cut off with leaving the standard hole in it and then 50*50 angle bolted to it and to the floor.. perfect fit. The height is a bit of a difference still fit in the car and I am 6 foot so thats a plus.

The driver side wasnt as easy the front stock brackets were use on the suburu rails just cut down but still left in place and bolted in on the rhs of the front seat stock bolt hole and a peice of in my case 3mm steel was used to bolt in the factory bolt hole to the front of the suburu seat to hold it in place. The rears were not that hard just a pain to work out. Had to cut the entire bracket off then careful measuring was done and it bolts to factory bolt hole as well. On the rhs the bracked was removed completly as well and i used some 50*10 flat bar to bolt to factory hole then threaded the steel and bolted the rail down to it. On the driverside its a about 10mm to high for me personally as i have to lean my head down a little to check traffic lights other then that it is great.

Both seats just fit in the car leaving just enough space for the seat belts to retract.

I will put some pics up if people are interested or send me a message and i can txt them to you laters all :peaceout: :peaceout:
