Knocked up a cheap front bar the other day using the design of a fellow auzooker.
Used 50mmx 2mm blue RHS and 40mmx 2mm blue RHS for the bottom corner diagonal braces , mounting brackets and top gusset were fabbed out of 50mmx8mm Flat bar. The finished unit weighs in at 12.7kg and is only 4.5kg heavier than the original unit. The blinkers are the std Suzuki ones and will need changing to something less ugly.
Basically it's going to be used to mount a Light bar/Aerial and maybe fend off a crazed roo. Used a CIG welder and a dozen or so 2.5mm GP welding rods, a flap disc to smooth welds, some plastic plugs to fill the open ends and then painted with black Zinc paint.
Regards Nick.

PM'd you Tonner.
I also used a drop saw to get the cuts half descent. You have the option of using 2.5mm or 3mm RHS if you need more strength, but I went for 2mm.
