I like the idea - plus the cost is right there with my tight-arse zook budget - but sadly up here in QLD this will end up as a $20 sauna more than a $20 swag. Although the mozzies would probably carry you away and cool you down.

I would have just saved up another 20 for this

http://www.kmart.com.au/product/jackero ... fly/126781

You might get alot of mildew/condensate on the inside of that canvas even if the days are warm.

If I wanted to use a tent I would take my msr hubba hubba ;)
I like to ruff it now and then to proove to myself that all this shyte we buy is unnecessary

I used to just lay my bag on the tarp and roll myself up in it like a pig in a blanket, that worked fine, although the leaches at the watto's liked it too

The cable ties come later, once he's crashed out & we cable tie him in. We'll take him for a long drive down a short road. :peaceout:

Ended up just running it as a tarp over a rope, mozzie net under it as the campsite supplies trees to tie off too...

Should just buy a proper body bag. Surely that would freak a few people out.

I used to use a tarp as a swag, but you're getting a bit fancy with the tape 'n stuff. Just get one that is big enough to go over + 2 layers under, then turn the end under and shove your shoes down into the corners to hold them put. Works just dandy.
