Ordered front left and right apio recovery hooks and attempted to fit them up to my 2008 Jimny today.

The drivers side was 30 minutes work, the most time consuming was modifying the front bumper as it extends down further than pre 2005 Jimnys.

The passenger side is a no go, they have changed the mounting/tie down hook I'm guessing at the same time as the updated front bumper in circa 2005.

If anyone is interested in the front left recovery point you can have it for what it cost me from Japan $100 delivered. Just make sure you haven't got the updated tie down point.

I also fitted an 8 pin programmable flasher relay. Not only is it compatible with LED flashers is also gives 3-6 indicators with a quick tap when lane changing or exiting roundabouts programmable to your preference. It also gives access lighting using the indicators to light around the car which is also time adjustable along with some cool hazard light variations. Plugs straight into car

the factory tow point will be redundant once the apio one is fitted, just saying.

could always adjust it with a cut off wheel & a flap disk.

Yes, the tie downs are redundant now but the apio hook also bolts onto the tie downs for additional strength. To fit the LHS point you need the pre 2005 tie down point as can been seen is this pic

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.

Oh yes, I can make it now the pain is gone.
All of the bad feelings have disappeared.
Here is the rainbow I've been praying for.
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.

Look all around, there's nothing but blue skies.
Look straight ahead, there's nothing but blue skies. (Ies)

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.
I can see all obstacles in my way.
Here's the rainbow I've been praying for.
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.
Real, real, real, real bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.
Yeah, hey, it's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.

   :P

Just a thought could you make a sandwich plate for the opposing side and install longer bolts
