the gv needed a bar so i purchased a Nissan gu patrol bar or something like that anyway for $200 that's when the fun started! i didn't really take enough photos of the cutting and welding and modifications I've done but you can see from the photos the difference now! i'm not sure if i need to take more out of the middle though.

did you cut the centre of the main hoop and shorten it there?
thats pretty well done and some good thinking, thats come out better than most commercial GV bars

yeah originally the middle bar came across right through the middle of the lights so i took majority of the length out through there, i also shortened it up bottom to top because it had a gay bit down the bottom which hung to low so i completely changed that bit, the next mod to it will be fitting a winch and then its time for the sierra to get a front bar which is just going to be 3 or 4 mm plate in the middle and 2 or something on the wings and just bend it up,

its hard to say brad lately all i'm doing is gettin stuck into beers but the suspension should be in tomorrow then its time to get some work haha but next for the grand vitara is some 30's and enough lift to clear em. i plan to do most of this from doing bigger coils and struts rather than spacers.

a new rear bar on the GV would be interesting, are you going to wire the tail lights up and have no lights in the rear bar??
