Looks good, and hidden behind the shelf system. You've run out of bench space though!

I've been doing the same thing, using ice cream containers, I have to eat a lot of ice cream to get them :oops:

Besides the overhead shelf, you could make another narrow shelf underneath the overhead one, so put more little containers? Armsup

edit. or a whole skinny shelf system at the back of the bench... you can never have too many shelves Armsup

Today I built a workbench for the garage and got my shit organised… Finally. Bought some ColourBond colour match paint to match it to the roll-a-door. Sorry no pics during construction but here is the plan. Also no pics of my usual shitty looking welds, although they are getting better and the new gas/gasless mig is awesome compared to the old budget gas less mig. It was only three hours of the day including paint. Great to final have a decent workbench. The bench top and lower shelf came from my last bench.

The bench top is one that my father in law knocked up a while ago. Mixture of laminex kitchen bench and stainless sheet. Just stuff he had left from construction jobs.

I had thought about a slide out "L" return at one end just to add a little more bench space. Also I may add some doors to the front just to tidy it up a bit.

I have a ripper stainless steel topped workbench, 4.8m long x 600mm deep, stainless steel backboard 400mm high, with old bar fridges for cupboards underneath. 150mm offset vice bolted to a 6mm x 600mm x 600mm steel plate [café type shade umbrella stand] half way along the bench, drill press on a separate bench on the right hand side. All built out of discarded stuff from a hotel I used to work at. all hiding somewhere in my shed stephen

This is my bench.. 3500mm x 950mm..The shocks were new wrx struts with king lows..pic is a few years old.

this is my little portable welding table ( have also got a 2800x600 workbench with a big vice and shelving on the bottom. It's all Bunnings Rack-it except the top that is 1.6mm Mild steel sheet. Has an adjustable vice on the corner. I have overhung the sheet, so the top works out to be 1500x1300, the actual rack-it is the 1200x600 sections, then i just welded some wheels on the bottom to spin it round the shed. The big mig has it's own stand/wheels etc, so next to each other it's pretty good. ( just need to grab some more formply to make a better shelve for the bottom from work. )

rexhunta got me thinking about a moveable bench for steel work so I'm re-purposing the old bench I had under the house. Hopefully I'll have time to finish it today. Adding some weight to the base to make it more stable. Fencing paint for the top and self Already in use, better get it finished

15 years so far and haven't broken one. It hangs on a chain so it can move if I hit it and I have done that many times..Can never have too much light, unless you are try to sleep...lol..

The timber started it's life about 80 years ago screening off under an old Queenslander in Gin Gin. I got it off a mate when he was renovating the old place and used it to make a small deck and set of stairs in the back yard. The deck got ripped down early last year so I could build the new shed. I guess is re-re-purposed now.
