This is my latest addition to the shed – The idea is no laying in the dirt anymore and I can work on the Brakes/hubs etc standing up on the sides.

Total cost $32 for some bolts, cutting disks and a few welding rods – All the rest is scrap from the dump and other places.

Still to do is trim the side iron – Make a proper step (The next time I fall of the milk crate getting in) - put the rubber conveyor belt floor in the pit and fit the winch. Yes I have a winch for pulling cars up as it is primarily for restoring projects so most of the cars will not be able to drive up anyway.

At my old house in tarragindi we had a driveway down to a shed and it had an old fashioned concrete 6 ft deep Pit. Never really used it but I always threatened my little 5 year old if he mucked you was going to put him in there.

It's Lightning Ridge, that was just an entrance to a mine.

Tony mate are you sure it's strong enough? Hope ya not planning on putting any cruisers up there and getting under... you need to buy one of those "Suzuki parking zone" signs... you know, for OHS purposes :D

BTW looks great though pompoms

When ya say removable cross pieces, you mean the lil bits of wood? So after you drive up you can remove the bits that are in ya way? That's tops

Na! The water just runs through the ground here as it is mostly rock.

My wife  Honest she did most of the digging until it got down to the rock and then the jack-hammer came into use.

Darkhorse - I have an umbrella - but really when it's that hot I find something to do inside :peaceout:

Looks good Tony but PLEASE add some diagonal bracing to stop it falling sideways. Maybe an X at the end or some outriggers.

Already got them you just cant see them as they are in the ground out the sides - and it's not for anything but Suzuki's
