Aus Red cedar. tried to match the ply as cedar ply is far too dear but its not nearly perfect.

Yeah im disapointed in the ply. tried my best to match it with stain but didnt darken nearly as much as the cedar when poly was applied. JFYI cedar veneer was nearly 300 for a sheet which is IMO F$%&IN rediculous and i wasnt going to pay that. As for the door infill its brushed Poly carb to tie in with the brushed stainless handles and the satin finish. Had some clear lexan but was too thick and would have applied too much pressure on the curved panels.

yes it sure does They are the same led strips i used for my interior lights on the zook the lead and transformer are removeable with a flush female plug on the back. The red led is to indicate when there is power to the switch. They are all flush mounted into 8mm trenches

Awesome work! I LOVE working with timber and given the chance again I would choose that field rather than electronics. Can't say I am good at it, but there is just so much job satisfaction in an area like that. What are you hoping to get into?

Im actually hoping i get a fitter machinist apprenticeship, fingers crossed. Ive got the last round of interviews before medicals in a couple of weeks if i dont get this one i will try elsewhere for diesel fitter, mechanical fitter or fitter machinist. If i do get this one it must be saying something as there is only 5 positions available and there was 500 odd applicants

Very nice work! Something I noticed which might get picked up on during marking though is that the switch should probably be on the other side of the power lead. In it's current location the plug will interfere with the use of the switch. Serioiusly good work though. Side note - Jaycar sell 90* versions of the male plug end for about a buck. I'd be fitting one of those rather than the straight plug you've got on there at the moment. Just adds a finishing 'design' touch as it allows you to position the cabinet closer to the wall than the current plug. Would also make it easier to get at the switch.

I never actually though of those things, if only you had brought it to my attention 2 weeks ago i could have done something before submisson
