hey guys just made my snorkel for the sierra cost me nothing as im a plumber but material would be about $20 used 50mm pressure pipe and a few bends, took me about 10 mins and it was done. It is not a show car and it will be used for rough stuff so not too keen about paying 400 for a snorkel.
anyway here are a few shitty pics

I has a pvc snorkel on my first one.....worst idea ever!
Dont glue the joins and keep spare lengths in ya car....as soon as they hit something they shatter....

It shouldn't it is pressure pipe which is a higher grade thickness than standard. But I'd prefer it to shatter than damage the car I suppose haha thx

I have the same on mine which I made when I had the std 1.3. I fitted a GTI twin cam and thought it was still OK but I disconnected it last weekend and I think I picked up another 20 hp. Much more responsive at the top end. The 50mm pipe was restricting the airflow. About to try 75mm stainless. Always wondered why my exhaust was always black - car was running rich.
