Just cut the turret off and fit another one. The base of the pillars looks OK in the pics. OR Body swap for another tintop or softtop. |

I was thinking of using one from a soft top-the drop down one that has the two point bolt system? Same measurements I think ? I did sourced one today but the bloke wants 110 and it's dented.. Told him he was dreaming! |

Honestly, it will be a million times easier to just buy a soft top tub. |

fully sick coily wrote: like this Yep. And you can do that in 5 mins with a soft top tub. A chopped hard top tub will not have a fold down windscreen frame ( unless parts are taken from a soft top tub), It will not have a removable B-pillar ( unless large sections of a soft top tub are retrofitted into the hartop body), and it will not have the hinges, or suitable rear door ( unless parts are taken from a soft top tub and retrofitted) IMO, the ONLY!!!! solution is to buy a soft top tub. That hardtop body is toast. Converting a hardtop body is akin to making mountains out of mole hills. |

Cheers fatzook... I think I will do down that path!!I'm not in a huge rush to get it finished , Seems like way too much work and too many Parts to chase up if I use the body I got and probs won't get the look I'm after...I'm in brissy- so if anyone see ones be sure to let me know I'll be keen to buy... Cheers for all the help il keep you boys posted on how I go. |
