yeah i reckon you need them on the lwb especially the second one saves my transfer case mount i already wrecked the first one it was one of the channel types i folded it back and always got stuck on it. i now run the older sort and it already had a few war wounds. |

.. Have you re-inforced the t/c mount along withe the bash plate i didnt really think it needed to be strengthened unless you are running gears they are piss weak though the bash plate should help it getting destroyed though. and it just ends up in a bad spot when climbing hills i know a number of occasions it has stopped me but now it just slids over. |

Hi there, I'm new to 4WDing and only bought a 2003 GV the other week, but I know I need to get some bash plates (it's already been raised 2.5"). Is there anyone in Brisbane you can recommend? Keen to get idea of cost as I need to wrangle my budget. Thanks all! |

Cheers for that, Banga. I appreciate the offer. I've got save up some money for it anyway (any rough idea how much I should save) so I'm guessing next year as well. |

I was quite surprised by the weight of a small sheet of 2.5mm gal. Especially when lifting onto my roof rack. Glad I didn't go for 5mm |

yeah i think 3mm is perfect i don't think you would need any bigger for where i go i use it a fair bit and no dints so far just scratches. i think 5mm would be over kill unless you were building a comp truck even still. |

a sheet is worth bout $120 from memory. i bent mine in a pan brake with a angle bolted on the front cause it was only rated for 2mm but the bash plates aren't that long and i wasn't folding 90 if i had access to a brake press would have used that. they aren't that heavy can hold them up with 1 hand when bolting them up. |
