been mucking around in the shed the last couple of days and made a four wheel steer kart using most parts of a 49cc pit bike. tried to keep it on the cheap. the front is steered normally by the steering wheel and the rear is steered by my feet via a pully kind of setup(bike sprockets and chain) brake and throttle are on the steering wheel (kinda like paddle shift) utilizing the pit bike brake leavers. it's kinda working the problem is it only wants to go one way had to only make it one wheel drive as it was impossible to turn the rear when locked. now that it is one wheel drive that wheel just tuns one dirrection under power and im not strong enough with my feet to turn it the other way. the idea is there and is heaps of fun craping down the street and turning on the dime. but realised the idea can't really be done on the cheap needs a diff and probaly cv's for the rear. any way hear is some shitty videos of my test runs haven't got any photos of it to post up. four wheel steer test 2 |

na it's kinda fun. makes it hard to roll with front and rear steering and don't need to go flat out on it to have fun. |
