Just finished making and installing the new transfer case and cradle with 6.5's 
I used the original mounts and beefed them up a bit by gusseting the long mount and adding a roctoy ring. Case in cradle

Looks good man, you may want to put a flat skid plate or something under that roctoy ring though, depending on how hard you're going or how high you've got your transfer. Just saying because the last couple of times I've been out, I haven't been going that hard but still managed to have a bit of dirt on the bottom of the transfer, so it rubs sometimes, but that huge bit of ring will dig in! |

Thats almost exactly what I use on mine. It's held up well for a couple of years. Snapped a lot of rubber bushes with it until I went to a solid mount (poly block with a m12 bolt and crush sleeve). All held up well until this weekend when I ripped the drivers side mount clean off the chassis! Snapped the factory welds. |

Cheers guys. I thought about Welding a skid plate to the bottom, and may still do it, but I'll see how I go first coz the roctoy ring doesn't hang down any lower than the gear box cross member |

Cool as, you will know pretty quick if it's going to drag, at least if it does, your drain plug won't fill up with dirt like mine does :p |

Just got back under the car and had a look, while it doesn't hang lower than the cross member, it certainly hangs lower than the chasis rails. Might have to seriously think about a skid plate, but I'm gunna get out and drive it a bit first to see how I go |

put a small cut through it about half thickness and fold the bottom 15mm up towards the back then reweld, this keeps the strength and gives clearance. |

You won't need to go too hard with the 1L case, but when you put your 6.5's in, you might need to beef things up a bit due to the extra torque. I can give you the contact details for the guy who makes the roctoy rings, $65 when I got mine |

Oh yeah not doing it to the 1l case. Gonna do it to my other case in preparation for the 6.5s. I'm getting the roctoy from designfab, I assume the same one? Im gonna look at putting some folded plate on the bottom of the ring to act as a skid. |

Can't remember the name of the guy I got my roctoy off without looking, but if he's the guy on outers then it's the same one. I did what you are doing, slowly built up a 2nd t/f case I bought while I was still driving around with the original one in. That way there's no pressure to get it done coz the car is off the road. Then when you finish, it only takes about 1/2hr to swap the cases over. |

Yeah, he's off outers. Same bloke. Yeah, I'm a fan of swapping things in. Makes life so much easier. |

This happens more than you think, i would brace the stock mounts too. |
