Spent a few days making this up for the rear of my car.

Because aluminium checkerplate is expensive up here in darwin, I ended up getting "ccgmag" on ebay to custom make the aluminium checkerplate side panels and send them up to me (cost me $185 including postage, the amount i would have needed from bunnings would have cost me $170, and ccgmag obviously has more experience than me at making these things)

I did end up changing my design at the last minute, so i made the very bottom peice of checkerplate myself (the peice that is under the amp that isn't as shiny)

Haven't bought the 6x9s yet, am probably going to get some polk audio ones for around $300/pr.

The entire inside of these speaker boxes, and the inner body of the car (ie:behind the amp) have been dynamatted, and i've also dynamatted the inside of the aluminium checker plate, and also put in thin strips of dynamat after installing the checkerplate, to seal the join (ie: put my hand through the speaker hole and stuck the strips of dynamat on the join)

Will put up more photos when i get the speakers in...

(and in case you're wondering
1) yes i know the seatbelt isnt connected - i'm working out how to put retractable seatbelts in safely
2) the back windows are removed because my dogs prefer it that way and its 2 or so months before the wet season starts, so i dont have to worry about rain
3) the car insides will be being painted in about a month)
