I've been chasing a vss for a while now but nobody will sell them separate, this is going to end up the way I have to do it too I reckon.

Much easier to do that if you've got the Vit cluster. I don't think Jr Zook got the cluster with his engine, I didn't with mine either.

Yea this is correct. Trying to source and buy one can be a mission sometimes and I'm a uni student so cheap is awesome! Its only like ~$5 in parts and an hour or so in time

that's a great fix JR, however, Vitaras are far from the only source for a bolt in VSS. I pulled one from a late 80's(?) swift cluster ( think it was a 3 cylinder one - no tach) . I have no idea why it had a VSS, maybe to control EGR, but it did.

I dropped into a wrecker I have a good relationship with and ferreted through his clusters - there were quite a few with the right VSS in them.
