This isn't what they mean when they say "shaving the door handles"
and are you going to fill the key hole??? easy way is weld a bit of steel on the inside and just bog up the hole from the outside

already did that but just used the speaker wire to give the bog some structure and used the bog to hold the speaker wire there...

Finally got them painted today, I really like spraying, its probably more enjoyable then grinding
pics
old man doing the first coat
and the finished product
didnt get many other progress photos cause I was spraying, turned out really quite good, will leave them hanging in the shed for a couple of days to completely dry, hopefully the shed will get really hot and bake them.
will be going for a double island or glasshouse trip next weekend hopefully to see how they go

Pretty sweet doors,
Personally i'd have made them 15/20mm taller, they seem to line up better with the tub / lines of the body that way.

yeah i cut them down to suit the line where the soft top comes to ( I was looking at the car with the soft top on when i made my measurments/guestimations) , didnt think about the fact that I'll probably be using the doors with the bikini top on
am considering putting some rubber or foam or something on there depending on how my elbows feel after a few knocks which might raise them up a little

yeah true, they are a bastard after they've been in the sun for a few hours,
black metal + sun = hot
I still have some carpet from the drawers so i might stick some on,
and I'll get some pics at double island if the weather clears up,
