Yep, they are almost the same length and width as a 40L engel so if i ever get a engel i will be able to fit it in the same space.
It'll just be taller obviously.

Good job so far .
I would agree with an earlier comment , that it's good to have your recovery gear handy rather than access from the back. It's a PITA opening your rear door with the car on a lean and sometimes not even being able to open it.

sorry guys been abit slack
but i'll make it up with a picture overload
95% complete now.
just touch up of paint in a few spot and abit of re wiring for the light switch and lighter plug i had on the right side.
im really happy how it turned out and its not to heavy yet plenty strong enough. and i can take it in and out in about 5 mins if i had too.
Cost
2 sheets of 15mm play: $80
glue: $10 (should've got a smaller bottle, hardly used any)
marine carpet: $30 (still get a meter left over)
contact glue: $10 (half a tin left)
paint: $30 (half a tin left)
sliders x2: $20
screws: already had them.
Total: $180
abit more than i estimated but got heaps of stuff left over.

1 bolt under the center draw that bolts into the thread where the center seat bracket use to be. it sits tight with the wheel arches to so it doesn't move at all.

Suggestion for you, as I am making mine into a kitchen sorta thing with a stove and bench, (although my wood working skills leave alot to be desired) I don't know about swb, but the lwb interior lighting is terrible, and I wanted lighting that is out of the way and will cover the whole back area. So I ran some of this stuff http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5m-Super-Bri ... 19d03ec0e8 (about a 1m) under the top lip of the rear door. Uses shit all power, and is fantastic. I put a independent switch, but if you wanted you could run it off the existing internal light circuit. I'll eventually put photos up. Looks like you would benefit from it

An idea which I am toying with... one of my mates used it in his Triton. Rectangle tube with 50mmsq steel mesh for the frame. Obviously need plywood or something for the top, but the mesh makes it a lot lighter than using full ply.

Its got a peice of timber that funs right across about 200mm in from the back, its carries my hand winch and cable which are quite heavy it hasn't bowed.
I've already run a light across the top of the back. its really handy.
It really isn't that heavy when unloaded. maybe 30kg. easily a one man lift.
