Ok well since i gave my rear bar some love i have been starting to work out what i wanted.

also had a bonus.. after i had drawn up basicly what i wanted, i relised that i already owned a bar that looked nearly what i wanted and just needed some 9inch love and new mounts etc

so some pics i started today and removed my old rear bar, wow not much holds them on! and started to take to the big girl.. i do inted on getting it powder coated once it is done 2.

Started with..

Image

removed and started on new bar.

Image

this side will be plated in etc but u get the point.

Image

i still need to remove old mounts, make new ones, recover points, haymon Reece hitch, fill in holes for ghey tail lights, find round tail lights that i like and make a mount somewhere for reversing light.

this is the 500mm of 100x8mm flat bar (actualy 2.5mtrs off 100x10mm love buying stuff from my old work)
Image

had to grind a bit out and clean a bit up but fits up nice

Image

Removed some junk that is not needed any more, the points will be mounted with 2x10mm 8.8s with crush tube inbetween the chassis.
Image

Haymond reece mount in, needs to have center hole drilled, and shortened. i am going to try to keep the amount hanging out of the bar to a minimum
Image

might try get a bit more done tomorow but i am putting it off till i get my new mig!

What's the edge distance of the hole for the reese hitch bolt to end of SHS and what size is the hole?

minimum edge distance should be 1.5x bolt hole.

2 be honest mate i have no idea atm. i think the hole is 14 or 16mm and the gap is 25mm from memory! to be honest tho i would be much more concernd about it tareing the bar out of the chassis before the end out of the recever
