After looking around for the windbreak, bikini covers ive decided to go with another idea of making my own detachable board to cover the space behind the seats and a hard tonneau cover. Plus im sick of the soft top look.
Ive used exterior ply and will be painting it then covering in marine grade carpet.
Pics
I hope to have it all finished and sealed up this weekend.
Its all reversable back to a soft top, the soft top sits flat in the tub and the rear seats fold flat, the soft top support bar unscrews from the two brackets to keep it all down under the hard cover, the hard cover will be in two peices so it can be stored behind the seats when the soft top is up, the cover behind the seats will store at the very rear of the tub behind the rear seats.

Thats a nice clean coily
What are you doing for a rear window? And I assume that you are not overly tall. I had the seats all the way back on my coily which put them past the B-pillar. With the timber wall you would not be able to do this...
Keen to see the finished product

the only issue i see mate is room behind the seats, the maruti hard top i have gives a fair bit more room than the normal and its still not enough...
but looks good

are you using plexy glass for the rear window, or have you cut it to suit the hard top window

I did a similar thing on my LWB Sierra.
I left a bit more room behind me, as I am 6ft ish.

Rear window is polycarbonate sheeting fron bunnings as the plexiglass is way to expensive. Ive set the seats as far back so they touch the back wall. its a little different from where i usually sit but im ok with it.
Should have finished pics this weekend.

2400 by 1200 exterior ply 9mm thick. Cost about $50 a sheet from mister ply.
Ive cut the window out to suit the shape of the B pillar when looking at it from behind, ive still got to round the corners.

What are you putting on the outside , marine carpet will stay wet and stink after a while , you need some bling checker plate painted flat black and then use a sander to lightly sand the dimples , looks good , Cheers Paul

Made a bolt in track for it to sit in. Mines not removable though.
