This is my 99 Jimny, we are still very early in building it, and it’s nothing to look at, hidden things are, airlockers F&R, 4.16 sierra Tcase, Dig unit, with removable 1/2” extension handle, 50mm Tough dog lift and 29” bighorns.
I bought it in search of a reliable daily driver that can mix it with the best of them on the weekends. The Jimny seemed to tick all the boxes, injection, rust free panels, coils, AC, PS, elec windows, quiet and it was at a great price. The real let downs are wheel travel and gearing. So that brings us to the future mods. 6.5s-1L tcase mash up, Chromo CV’s, 1600 bottom end, 3-link + panhard front, and the rear is still a mystery to me, 31” treps on beadlocked rims, JML front bar, 8000LB warn on rope (doubling as a suck down winch), rear draws, and a UHF. Apart from the beadlocks and UHF, everything is in my shed (or in the mail), waiting for me to have some spare time.
Then, go wheeling on the weekend, camping, and see Australia, make friends and enjoy it more then working on it.
