Hi, does anybody know the difference between a swift sedans g16b compared to a baleno or vitara g16b. From what i understand, it would obviously need to be changed feom east west to north south configuration but im unsure if the cam and dizzy need to be changed like i have heard needs doing to a baleno motor. According to specs i found on the net, there is .4kw less and 6 nM more in the swift over a baleno donk, so basically identical. What am i missing?

Yeah its a tbi 16v, and the dizzy points out the back of the motor. What would i need to change to get the dizzy pointing in the right direction?

A cam change to a Vit cam should be what ya need. I fitted a Baleno/swift import G16B dizzy motor to my Vitara. I used the Vitaras cam and dizzy. I assume same if fitting to a Sierra. Plenty of dead vit engines around to grab a cam from, I reckon

Otherwise get a baleno 98+ motor.
G16b, Twin coilpacks.
No dizzy. Sump has to be modded for sensor or find a rare grandvit 2door 1.6 sump, or whole motor! Water has to be custom/modded also, come out back of head.
Is this for the memphis?(just cut the firewall)

Thanks guys. Tim- its an engine that I bought with the intention of selling, or possibly putting in Memphis and selling the complete turn key vitara g16b efi thats in it. I'm thinking of putting a little turbo on for shits and giggles, if so ill cut the firewall out and have in cab adjustable timing

while we are on this timmay. i have a complete running low km g16b 2000 model coil pack baleno here that i will be putting the motor in the buggy unless a super cheap g16a comes up. What have you done in the past with the outlet out the back of the motor?? at a guess it willl put the rad hose into the firewall?? i know a stainless pipe will need to be made to run up the side of the motor
