Guys, just got myself a roof top tent for the Jimny. I love it!!!!! But I am thinking about getting a small trailer and doing a custom camper with the roofie mounted on the top.
Anyone done this and ideas on the best ways to use the space or where to mount things?
Thanks in advance
Brett

yeah, been done... check out the last 10 odd pages of my build thread & the trailer mega merge thread in good tech.
i'd start with a 5x4 box trailer & building it up to suit.
Christover & Joe are also running a RTT on trailers

Thats what I am talking about!!!!! A small trailer small enough to not kill my little jimny that's flat out pulling me up a hill! Something that I can just hook up and go with minimal fuss. What you thinking it will cost you? I have access to a little stick welder but not a thing like your using. Am option is to go down to a local manufacturer and ask him to make me something like what you have but rolling.

final cost about 300-500 for trailer plus rooftop tent. What's in the pic has cost me $160 but I work in a fabrication business. So I get trade price and discounts for metal. It's only a 5x3 so it's pretty small. Will have custom axel, same width as a Jimny track width. And suzuki hubs. it's fairly light. I'm 60 kilos and I can lift what's in the pic above my waste.
